How Can I Lose Weight?
Many people ask the question, “How can I lose weight?” There
obviously is no simple answer to this question, but let me
start by asking you a question. “Why do you want to lose
weight?” Is it to improve your looks, are there health related
reasons, or is it something else? The answer to
this question can help you to set your weight
loss goals, but most importantly, it will establish your
motivation to achieve those goals. If you want to achieve
any goal you set in life, there has to be something
that motivates your. If you don't have this motivating
factor, then you will be more likely to get lazy or
even give up when things get rough.
Another question you must ask yourself is, “Are you looking
for short-term results or are you looking for sustainable
long-term results?” Most people would answer long-term results.
There are many, many people and products out there trying to
sell you the next big thing in weight loss. It might be a pill,
an ab machine, or a fad diet program and they all promise great
results, often with little effort from the user. Odds are some
of these products might produce results in the short-term, but
none of them are going to give you the long-term results you
desire. If you want to continue to ask yourself every year,
“How can I lose weight?”, go with the newest thing out there.
If not, make a choice to find a weight loss program that will
work for you.
Supplements
Most supplements do nothing to help you improve your body.
However, there are some useful supplements that can help you
lose weight. For example, meal replacements for those who don’t
have time to prepare real food meals or high quality, fast
digesting proteins like whey protein are also good. In the end,
real food is always best if you choose the right foods
If you are willing to spend money on a magic bottle of pills
or powder, why not try spending that money on a comprehensive
training and nutritional program instead. This will get you the
results you are looking for, not just for today, but for the
rest of your life.
Ab Machines
Ab machines are a waste of money. Most importantly, it is
impossible to spot reduce fat in only one part of the body.
Many of these machines don’t even work your abs at all and none
of them will stimulate fat loss. They become an even bigger
waste of money after you have spent hours using them with no
results and stop using them all together.
Fad Diets
The main thing about these diets is that they are not
sensible. They may help you lose weight, but you are never
going to be able to keep the weight off. You can’t survive on a
liquid diet or by only eating one type of food for the rest of
your life. Therefore, after you do lose weight, as soon as you
stray and start eating normal food again, the pounds will come
back.
Although there is no simple answer to the question, "How can
I lose weight?" The best answer I can give you is through
exercise and a healthy diet. It’s no secret. For most, it’s
just not the answer we want to hear. The secret is finding a
program that will work best for you. You have to make a choice
between staying in the shape you are now or working to lose
weight and becoming healthier. Just like anything else in life,
if you want to achieve something, you have to work for it. It’s
not just going to be handed to you.
