The Best Way to Burn Fat
The best way to burn fat, no matter where it is, is to
make the body burn it as fuel. The only way to do this is to
increase your metabolism. By boosting your metabolism,
the body burns excess calories and eliminates fat
throughout your entire body.
Most people go on starvation diets to burn fat only to give
up in frustration a few weeks or even days later. Avoid the
hype out there telling you that simply lowering calories will
magically strip the fat off your body. This type of fat burning
method is not realistic because you can't keep it up for a long
period of time. That's why the best way to burn fat is to make
some lifestyle changes, which you can apply for the long
term.
Having "three squares a day", which used to be the standard,
is no longer recommended. Eating only three meals a
day means more total calories at each sitting, making it
tougher for your body to digest food for fuel and harder for
your metabolism to catch up. This is why eating smaller meals
throughout the day is the best way to keep your metabolism
firing.
By eating these mini-meals, you'll be throwing just the
right amount of "wood" on the fire to keep your metabolism
burning calories all day long. An elevated metabolism
throughout the day means that you’ll burn more calories and
lose more weight. Don’t skip breakfast and wait until
mid-morning or afternoon to eat, this will slow your
metabolism causing you not to burn any extra fat. Besides
eating an early, substantial breakfast, it is also
important to set up an eating schedule of 5-8 small meals
spread a few hours apart throughout the day. I would also
recommend that you plan your meals ahead of time. This will
assure you that you have something healthy available when it
come time for each meal and give you a better chance to be
successful.
We all know that exercise helps us lose weight, improves our
health, and increases our metabolism. When you become inactive,
your body’s metabolism basically shuts down. Exercise is
certainly one of the best ways to burn fat and improve
body shape. Most people still believe that long cardio sessions
are the most effective workouts for burning fat and increasing
your metabolism. Well times have changed.
The most effective workouts for burning fat are a
combination of strength training and interval training. Adding
weight training to your workout is one of the best ways to burn
fat effectively. The stress that weight training puts on your
muscles causes your body to expend a great deal of energy to
repair them. This process increased the amount of fat you burn
even after your workout is complete.
Interval training mixes bursts of high intensity work with
low intensity periods of recovery, overloading both the aerobic
and anaerobic systems at the same time, giving you the benefits
of both aspects of training simultaneously. Interval training
burns more calories than aerobics or traditional cardio by
elevating your metabolism significantly more after you finish
exercising, while your metabolic rate recovers back to
pre-exercise levels.
Almost everyone can incorporate interval training into his
or her fitness routines. Intervals can be done on
any cardio-type exercise equipment such as a stationary
bike, treadmill, rowing machine, or elliptical machine. A good
interval training program for beginners is a
simple walk-jog interval. Using both types of exercises,
interval training and weight training, rather than
just focusing on one is by far a better method
for burning fat fast.
To summarize, the best way to burn fat is to avoid the
mistake many make of starving yourself and eat small,
frequent, healthy meals. Combine these with regular
fat-burning interval training and weight training workouts and
you will be able to successfully burn fat.
